I’ve just been grumbling with a friend this morning about loss of the “good ol’ days,” when there were doctors who cared more about people than about the bottom line in their finances, and when you could count on police officers to be decent, helpful folks, and bankers to be honest and speak English, not bankese, and so many other things. It really makes me feel old.
I have no idea where such things can be found today… perhaps in some third world country, or maybe in the southern hemisphere in Australia or New Zealand or somewhere…
It’s really sad to me that my kids barely remember such things, and their kids have never known them and probably never will.
Caveat emptor.

I think we have to teach those things to our children…
I’m glad here in old-fashionned Luxembourg there are still some of such people, though they might be hard to find sometimes.
But life teaches you so many lessons out of which you should be able to come back to a good way of life. It should be enough to learn the lessons and live upon the adive they give you…
I mean it can’t be that hard to just treat people the way you’d like them to treat you, or am I wrong?
Just always be aware of the simple fact that other people do have feelings as well…
That’s what I tried to teach my daughter right from the start, and I think she somehow got the lesson… Or at least I hope so
